Sad Yet True (and, ultimately, not too sad):

We have friends who say that children reach an age where they are too old for babysitters, but too young to exhibit common sense. This, they claim, is the danger zone of parenting.

In support of that worldview, a local young teen and his friends decided to dye some of their clothing in fun new colors. The parents weren’t around, so no harm, no foul, right? The problem arose when they noticed that there were dyes in and around the washing machine, but there was no more laundry soap. They substituted dishwashing liquid; the results were as you might expect.
